first you turn the tax percent into a decimal, then multiply by 29 dollars.
the answer you get from multiplying you will add that to 29 $

29Ă—5.5=159.5 slide the decimal 2 places to the left, so you get 1.595. That rounds up to $1.60. So $29.00+$1.60=$30.60
