5:7 means that Alex got 5/12 of the whole amount and Ben 7/12.
(5/12)•360=150
(7/12)•360= 210
210-150=60
Ben received £60 more than Alex.

first
360 divided by 12=30
alex got=30 multiply 5=150
ben got=30 x 7 =210
so ben got 60 more than alex
