Please Help!?!

Which equation shows the substitution method being used to solve the system of linear equations?

x + y = 6
x = y + 2

(Points : 3)
x + y = y + 2
x + (y + 2) = 6
x = (x – 6) + 2
(y + 2) + y = 6

Substitute
x in the first equation with
y+2 from the other equation.
Then you have
y+2+y=6 \Leftrightarrow \boxed{(y+2)+y=6}
