At carters birthday party his mom made a cake in a rectangular shape.

The length of cake is 8cm and width of cake is 6 cm. If she wants to add 1
cm of cream around the cake , what will be the perimeter ad area of the
rectangle cake?

i think the answer will,be......i thin it will be 7 because if you add a cm then you add the cm to the six and that would give you 7 and then you add 6+6=12 and then add 8+8=16 so the answer would probelly will be 7
