How do you solve this two step equation 6=a/4+2

Subtract 2 from both sides then multiply both sides by 4

First you need to subtract the 2 over to the left side:
4=a/4
Then, multiply both sides by 4 in order to get the 4 on the right to cancel out of the denominator:
16=a
