Answer: m = -5 and b = -6

Given that 10x + 2y = -12

The slope - intercept form of equation is written as

y = mx + b

where m = slope and b = intercept

This equation can be re-arrange as

2y = -12 - 10x

2y = -10x - 12

Divide all through by 2

2y/2 = -10x/2 - 12/2

y = -5x - 6

From, y = mx + b

m = -5 and b = -6
