ALGEBRA! NEED HELP!

~Write a formula for the total surface area of a cube in terms of its edge length x. Explain your reasoning.

surface area of a cube
cube=6 squares
square=2 equal sides
area of square=side^2
surface area of cube=6(area of square)=6side^2
side=x
SA=6x^2

Since each edge's length is x, each face's are would be
{ x }^( 2 )
And cubes have 6 faces. multiply 6 by
{ x }^( 2 ), the formula is :
6{ x }^( 2 )
