What is 17/5 times 2/5?

Okay, since you already have it in improper fraction form, you can start multiplying the numerators ( the numbers on the top)
17x2=34
Now, divide the denominators.
5x5=25.
You have 34/25... And that can be made in to a mixed number.
25 goes into 34 one time.
You have a whole number, 1.
34-25=9
You'd have 9/25ths left over.
You can not reduce any further.
Then, together, your answer would be 1 and 9/25!!

17/5=3.4

2/5=0.4


3.4 x 0.4=

1.36
