The Diary of Anne Frank.

In her diary Anne writes: "There's in people simple an urge to destroy, an urge to kill, to murder and rage..." and "in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart."
How do you think Anne could reconcile these seemingly contradictory opinions?
