IN a survey, 10% of the people said they live in a city. If 60 people said they live in a city, how many people were surveyed? Please show all work

You said: " 10% of the people = 60 people "

' 10% ' means 0.1
' of ' means ' times '

So (0.1) x (the people) = 60 people

Multiply each side by 10 : the people = 600 people
