How did South Carolina respond to the election of Abraham Lincoln as president in 1860?

South Carolina, like most southern states didn't like Lincoln as he spoke against slavery. They didn't even put Lincoln's name on the ballot in 10 southern states. When Lincoln was elected, South Carolina was the first to secede from the union.
