Find the factors of -16
(2x-8)(2x+2)=0
So the factors were -8 and 2
2x(-8)= -16x | 2x(2)= 4
-16x+4=-12x
And now find the x
2x-8=0 2x+2=0
2x=8 2x=-2
X=4 X=-1
so x is equal to 4 & -1
