3w+6=4w \ \ \ |\hbox{subtract 4w from both sides} \\ -w+6=0 \ \ \ |\hbox{subtract 6 from both sides} \\ -w=-6 \ \ \ |\hbox{mutiply both sides by (-1)} \\ w=6
