3.5 hours equal $10
3.5 hours= 7/2 hours
if 7/2 hours = $10
1 hour =
dollars
Unit rate = $(20/7) per hour

Okay. So this is a simple division problem. All you need to do is divide 10 by 3.5. This will figure out how much you spend per single hour. you'll come up with around 2.855. So I'd round down, and say $2.85 per hour.
