The British didn't treat them nicely because they sieged the city and Bostonians were forced to eat rats and horses, which was beyond inhuman behavior. There were too many taxes for no reason and thirdly Bostonians didn't have Independence.

I think the three reasons why Bostonian felt the British had push them too far is First, is that the Bostonian soldiers acted rudely to the British people. Second is that some of the British workers earned little pays and lastly, they were some Bostonian who stole goods from a local shops.  I hope this would help
