Theories are developed when phenomena are observed and analyzed using the scientific method or another method of inquiry to determine if their are observable similarities and causalities which can be created into a theory. The development of theories helps to understand the physical world by providing an order and way of seeking to understand and explain the way that the world and universe are ordered or unordered.
