55 - 11.4 (4)
11.4 (4) = 45.6
55 - 45.6 = 9.4
9.4 tons of sand remain

11.4 multiplied by 4 trucks = 45.6 tons in the trucks.
55 - 45.6 = what remains in the pile which would be 9.4 tons.
