m+ (3)/(8)= (1)/(2) \ \ /*8\\ \\ 8m +(3)/(\\ot8^1)*\\ot8^1 =(1)/(\\ot2^1)*\\ot8^4\\ \\8m+3=4\\ \\8m=4-3\\ \\8m=1 \ \ /:8 \\ \\ (8)/(8)*m =(1)/(8)\\ \\m=(1)/(8)

Most important rule of Pre- algebra and algebra, do the opposite operation.
So what you do is subtract 3/8 to isolate the variable. 1/2 = 4/8 so just do 4/8-3/8 and get 1/8 so m = 1/8
