Answer:

Rounding decimal number

Explanation:

Rounding decimal number is important when dividing a decimal number by a whole number.

  1. Ease of calculation and simplicity.
  2. If we do not round off the number, this may lead to a recurring and non terminating quotient, which again is a problem.
  3. This is used to make calculation easier and results easier to understand, when exact values are not too important.
  4. It helps us to have significant answers. Significant digits measure overall relative accuracy of a value.
  5. This gives an idea about the estimation of the possible answer without doing a lot of work.
  6. We can round off the answer to nearest tenths, hundredths and much more.
