There are three doors, each with a different path behind it. One door leads to $1 million and the other two doors lead to a pile of leaves. In front of each door is a doorman. You know that one of them always tells the truth and the other two always tell lies.

Doorman #1 says, “My door does not lead to the money.”

Doorman #2 says, “My door leads to the money.”

Doorman #3 says, “I always tell the truth. My door leads to a pile of leaves.”

Which door leads to the money?

make a table
3 scenarios

1.
if we assume that dorman1 tells truth and the other 2 lie then
1:leaves
2: leaves
3: money (lying both times)
no contradiction

2. if we assume that dorman 2 tells truth and the other 2 lie then
1. money
2. money
3. money
contradiction, there should only be 1 money

3. assume dorman 3 tells truth and the other 2 lie
1. money
2. leaves
3. leaves

either dorman 1 or 3 has the money
