first solve for x then h
first equation
1/2(x+6)=2x
times both sides by 2/1
x+6=4x
minux both sides
6=3x
divide by 3 both sides
2=x
sub into other equation
5-2x=7x-h
5-2(2)=7(2)-h
5-4=14-h
1=14-h
minus 14 both sides
-13=-h
times -1
13=h
h=13
