(y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1) = m (formula for finding slope)

(2 - (-5))/(4 - 0 ) = (7)/(4)

Thus, the slope is 7/4.

To find the slope of a line when given two points, you must create an expression using the formula, change in y divided by change in x. This means subtracting one y-value from another and then dividing the difference by the difference of the two x-values.

Y1 - Y2 / X1 - X2

2 - (-5) / 4 - 0

7/4

Therefore, the slope of the line is 7/4.

Hope this helps! :)
