According to the map, the biospheres in the South American country of Colombia are not numerous, for starters, but also that even though they are located in three different parts of the country, they do share some common traits.
All four biosphere reserves are located around large rivers. Three out of the four biosphere reserves are located in the lowlands that have the smallest elevation in the country, while only one, Cinturon Andino, is located high on the Andean Mountains and is a highland biosphere reserve.
Also, ti can be said that the southern and southeastern parts of the country do not have a single biosphere reserve, as well as the central part of the country.
