It depends on what type of "drug" you are being asked about. Drug use refers to one taking/introducing a substance(s) into his or her body; causing a physiological response. There are several types of drugs and ways in which people "use" them.
people use and abuse drugs referred to as "Narcotics", which are prescription meds; used for treatment of pain; legal, if prescribed to you by a doctor.)
Many people become dependent upon Narcotics; misuse them; become addicted to them.
Then there are the illegal Drugs/Substances people use and abuse: examples; Heroine, LSD, Meth, Cocaine, MDMA, Ecstasy, etc. Each can be 'used' in various ways, but a majority of them are smoked, injected, snorted, and swallowed. These drugs are considered Schedule 1 Drugs, meaning they are highly addictive, and NEVER prescribed or used as a means of "medical treatment".
