Multiply 2 2 by −1 - 1 to get −2 - 2 . Move all terms containing x x to the left side of the equation. Since −2x - 2x contains the variable to solve for, move it to the left side of the equation by adding 2x 2x to both sides. Add −2x - 2x and 2x 2x to get 0 0 .

does this work?
