Explain: A doorknob is an example of a wheel and axle. Explain why turning the knob is easier than turning the axle

The axle multiplies the force applied to the knob. The knob has a greater radius than the axle, so when force is applied to the knob, when you turn it, it has to move a greater distance than the axle even though they both do the same amount of work. :)
