4(3x-1)=2(x+3)

The first step is to distribute. So after you do that you should have
12x-4=2x+6
Then Isolate your variable by moving the numbers over (remember when they move the change from positive to negative or vise versa) Your equation should now be 10x=10
Once your variable is Isolated simply divide. Then you can plug in your answer to check. Your answer should be x=1

12x-4=2x+6

12x-2x=6+4

10x=10

x=10/10

Therefore:

x=1
