Find the x-intercepts of the parabola with vertex (2,13) and y-intercept (0,5). Write your answer in this form: (x1,y1),(x2,y2). If necessary, round to the nearest hundredth.

The answer to the question is as follows:

I would start by setting up an equation in vertex form.
y=a(x-2)^2 +13

To find a, sub in (0,5)
5=a(0-2)^2 +13
-8=4a
a=-2

y=-2(x-2)^2 +13

Set y equal to 0:

0=-2(x-2)^2 +13
-13=-2(x-2)^2
6.5 = (x-2)^2
+/- square root 6.5 = x-2

x= 4.549, -0.549

I hope my answer has come to your help. God bless and have a nice day ahead!
