the equation of reaction is
I + Al---------->
AlI3
1 mol 1mol
n mol n mole
so nI =nAll3
nAll3=mAll3/M= 27.5g/27+3x127=0.067mol
and then nI=0.067mol = mI/MI
from where we can get mI=nIxMI=0.067x 127=8.56g
