cos A = Ad / AB
tan 26.57 = AB / 17.89
so AB = 17.89 * tan 26.57 = 8.9469
By pythagoras
Bd = sqrt ( 17.89^2 - 16^2) = 8
AD = sqrt (8.9469^2 - 8^2) = 4.006

cos A = 4.006/ 8.9469 = 0.447
