The correct option is C that is The forces pointing up and down are balanced. In the given figure, there are four forces acting on a point. The forces acting on up and down direction are equal in magnitude and opposite Thus the resultant of two forces is equal to zero. The net force acting on up and down direction is zero, therefore point will remain at equilibrium. The force actting left and right directions are different in magnitude and opposite in direction. There is a force of 400 N acting on right and a force of 200 N acting on left. Therefore net force acting on point is 200 N acting on right. The point will not be in equilibrium. It will move at right side. So the all four forces acting on point have a net force of 200 N acting on right.
