12x² - 11x = 11

Can be rearranged to

12x² - 11x - 11 = 0


Where

a = 12
b = -11
c = -11


To find the discriminant, we do

b² - 4ac


Therefore, the discriminant is 649, which is greater than 0


Therefore the equation has two real irrational solutions.
