How to solve y-5=3-9 (y+2)

y - 5 = 3 - 9(y + 2)

Expand the brackets

y - 5 = 3 - 9y + 18

Move y to one side, and constants to the other

10y = 26

Solve for y

y = (26 / 10) = 2.6

Y-5=-9y-15 simplify
Y-5+9y=-15
10y=-10
Y=-1
