Just remember that when finding percent change subtract the bigger no. From the smaller no. Then divide the answer by the original amount.

we know that

the amount
\$2,300 -------> represent the
100\%

so

Find the percentage of the amount
\$2,643

by proportion

(100)/(2,300) =(x)/(2,643) \\\\ 100*2,643 =x*2,300\\\\ x =(100*2,643)/(2,300) \\\\ x= 114.91\%

Find the percentage gain

Percentage\ gain =114.91-100 =14.91\% =15\%

therefore

the answer is

The percentage gain on the investment is
15\%
