Answer: The value of greater integers can be 19 or -18.

Quadratic equation used :
x^2-x-342=0

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Two consecutive integers i.e. x and (x-1).

So, product of two consecutive integers = 342.

According to question, it becomes,

x(x-1)=342\\\\x^2-x=342\\\\x^2-x-342=0\\\\x^2-19x+18x-342=0\\\\x(x-19)+18(x-19)=0\\\\x-19=0\ or\ x+18=0\\\\x=19\ or\ x=-18

Hence , the value of greater integers can be 19 or -18.

Quadratic equation used :
x^2-x-342=0
