The area of the sector is proportional to the angle

[Area of the sector / area of the cirle] = [angle of the sector / angle of the circle].

The angle of a circle is 360°.

[area of the sector] = [60° / 360°] * 30 in^2

area of the sector = 5 in^2

Answer: 5 in^2
