A large emerald with a mass of 764.3 grams was recently discovered in a mine. If the density of the emerald is 2.76grams over centimeters cubed, what is the volume? Round to the nearest hundredth when necessary and only enter numerical values, which can include a decimal point.

The answer is 276.92

The density (d) is the quantity of mass (m) and volume (V):
d = m/V

We know:
m = 764.3 g
d = 2.76 g/cm³

d = m/V
2.76 = 764.3 / V
V = 764.3 / 2.76
V = 276.92

m = 764.3 g
d ( Density ) = 2.76 g / cm³
m = V · d
V = m / d = 764.3 : 2.76 = 276.92 cm³
