Over the weekend , Rachel and Morgan drove to Chicago to go shopping . Now theyre preparing to go home . Morgan needs gas for her jeep, which gets 21 miles per gallon for gas mileage . When she stops at the gas station, she already has 8 gallons of gas in her tank . She buys more gas for $1.75 per gallon. If Morgan spends $23 on gas , what is the total distance the girls could travel ? Round, if necessary, to the nearest tenth .

You first have to take $23 and divide that by $1.75 to see how many gallons she got put in her jeep. Then after that you want to add that to that 8 gallons to get your total gallons. Now you want to take how ever many gallons there is and multiply that by 21. $23 / $1.75 = 13.14..... 13.14 + 8 = 21.14 21.14 * 21 = 443.94 443.94 = 444 miles So they girls could travel 444 miles. Hope this helped :)
