Math 7. Grade 7

How would you evaluate 6(p÷x) - 2x , if p = 6 and x = 3.

you would want to do the distribute property so your problem would look like this: (6x6)/(6x3)-2(3) so your answer would be (36)/(18)-(6) then you can do the Order of Operations.(PEMDAS) so division is up first so 36/18 = 2 then you can take 2-6 to get your answer of -4.

We would first input the numbers in the equation.
6(6/3)-2(3)
Then, we will solve the problem inside the parenthesis. Remember PEMDAS.
6(2)-2(3)
Then we multiply!
12-6

The final answer is 6, hope it helped!
