6 sides, each of them is 4 square cm
6 times 4 = 24 square cm

From the figure we can conclude that object is cube that has 6 sides. Each side consists surface of 4 squares dimensions 1 by 1
knowing this we can write formula for surface of large cube.
S = 6*4*(1*1) = 24
The answer is 24 cm^2
