1.Use the diagram of the regular hexagon to support an explanation showing why the formula accurately yields the area of the hexagon. (Recall that a is the apothem and P is the perimeter of the hexagon.)

Even though im not giving you the whole answer, let me give you something that will definitely help you:
a regular hexagon is made of 6 identical triangles with the apothem as the height of the triangle A = 6 * 1/2 base * apothem which can be simplified to A = 1/2 perimeter * apothem
This in itself is a big part of what you need. I hope this is enough info for you to keep going
