Given the equation y = 3x - 2, do the following: a. On a separate sheet of paper, complete the table of ordered pairs. If 3(1)- 2 = 1 for x = 1, show your work in the box below for x = 2, 3, 4.

y = 3x - 2
I assume this is what they mean;
3(1)- 2 = 1 for x = 1

Fill in the x's with the following numbers. so first... (x = 2)
y = 3x - 2
3(2) - 2
multiply 3 and 2 and then minus 2
which equals 4 all together
y=4
therefore;
3(2) - 2 = 4

For x = 3
Fill in the x with 3 in the equation
3x - 2 = y
3(3) - 2 = y
9 - 2 = y
equals 7
so...
3(3) - 2 = 7

Do the same rule with number 4 :)
Let me know if it's different from what you're learning
