9. Abuser, targets, and bystanders are the three roles within dating abuse. As you have seen throughout this unit, bystanders do not always act to end the abuse. Some bystanders need to replace beliefs that reinforce dating abuse with beliefs that uphold respect. Give an example of an unhealthy belief. Explain why it is unhealthy. Offer a healthy belief that could replace it. (4 points)

Unhealthy belief- all couples fight and it is necessary for the relationship to work out
Reason for it's unhealthy- all couples are different and a relationship should revolve around violence and verbal conflicts
Healthy belief- All couples may have to deal with conflicts but there is violence and verbal abuse isn't the answer
