x+2y=5 multiply by -2
2x + 3y=6
-2x-4y = -10
-y=-4
y=4
2x+3(4)=6
2x+12=6
x=-3

y=2/3x+3
Only if you are solving for Y
and also....
y=1/2X+5/2
