Answer:

The people voted to bring beavers to help because The beaver builds dams in the rivers out of sticks and mud and leaves. And the dams they build are strong enough to stop a river from flooding in heavy rain. After someone said “if we bring the beavers back, we can solve our problem by working with nature” annas dad thought it was crazy but annas mom thought it was worth a try. In the end the towns people voted for the beavers and the plan worked.
