26). A horizontal line above the x-axis. Equation: Y = any positive number.
27). A horizontal line under the x-axis. Equation: Y = any negative number.

28). A line that slopes down as it goes from left to right.
Equation: Y = (any negative number) times X .

29). 5 hours
30). 240 miles
31). 20 meters per second
32). 2000 miles per hour (not likely)
33). 4 seconds
34). 900 meters if the bug could keep going for 5 minutes

35). because the slope of the graph is the object's speed,
and the speed of an object in free fall keeps increasing

36). On Earth, it accelerates at the rate of 9.8 meters per second
every second. The number is different on the moon or other planets.

37). (3 seconds) times (9.8 meters/second²) = 29.4 meters per second
38). You walked 10 meters.
39). You ended up 6 meters straight west of his house.

40). It can't. It can have CONSTANT speed and still be accelerating,
but it can't be accelerating if it has NO speed.
Examples:
-- a car going around a curve at a steady speed
-- anything moving around a circle at a steady speed

41). I have no idea, because I wasn't there in Speed Lab.
I'm guessing that you were there, though, so you might be able
to come up with this answer.

I'm sure glad that you've learned so much from this exercise.
