25/10=5/2=2 1/2. Well let me explain this when you simplify 25/10 it equals 5/2 then you simplify 5/2 it equals 2 1/2.

$(25)/(10)=(25:5)/(10:5)=(5)/(2)=(4+1)/(2)=(4)/(2)+(1)/(2)=\boxed{2(1)/(2)}$
