Explain why 3.6 tenths equal 36 tenths

I would simply solve the fraction as a division question. To divide 36 by 10, just move the decimal one place to the left. That gives you 3.6

Well there are two ways too look at this

1) divide 36 by 10

2) multiply 3.6 by 10
