slope of a line y = -4x+ 1 is -4. Slope of required line = slope of y = -4x +1 = -4. By slope point form, (y - y1) = m(x - x1). [ (x1,y1) = ( 3, -1) . m = -4]. y - (-1) = -4(x - 3). y + 1 = -4x + 12. y = -4x + 11. So equation of required line is: y = -4x + 11.
