Write an equation in slope intercept form for a line that is parallel and perpendicular to the line y=5x-3 and has a y intercept of 6

Parallel lines have the same slope so the line parallel to y = 5x - 3 with a y-intercept of 6 would be y = 5x + 6

For perpendicular, the slope is negative reciprocal of the original line. So negative reciprocal of 5 would be -1/5

Therefore the perpendicular line would be y = -1/5x + 6
